In a nutshell…….
Lexington based DJ spinning house, electronica, downtempo, acid jazz and old-school hip hop, Amy Park, aka DJ Lady BlueBlood, uses a sophisticated and innovative touch to convey a certain “groove” yet unique underground mood to her DJ sets, well suited for both main floors or the smaller rooms.
Back in the day….
Fascinated more with electronic sounds and funky basslines, Amy finds her roots in house music in the late 70’s/beginning 80’s, when hanging out with her mother, Linda, who gave Amy the exposure to classic rock and disco. “My mother always managed to somehow get disco tracks that were not at all popular in my hometown of Richmond, Kentucky. In fact, nothing that you could actually get your hands on in the whole state of Kentucky….artists as Deborah Cox, Chic and The Dazz Band. I remember walking around blasting “Let it Whip” out of my ghetto blaster and getting the strangest looks from people. But I could tell people liked it.”
Amy decided to move to Atlanta in 1995, when the nightclub scene in Atlanta was at its prime. With mega-clubs such as Backstreet and underground clubs such as MJQ, Amy began to really take appreciation to house music and the DJ world. In 2001 Amy decided to move to NYC where she spent 8 years, until 2009. During her stay in NY, Amy bloomed as a DJ artist, and the exposure to an effervescent dance scene with clubs like Sound Factory and Twilo (Danny Tenaglia) or Body & Soul (with Francois K, Clausell and Krivit) or the tech house Matter-Form parties (with Adult Napper, Mr C) contributed to shape her sound to a true mix of electronic and organic elements, thus creating a very personal style that quickly found a great response in the hottest markets like NYC, Atlanta and L.A.

And I absolutely want to be a part of that.”
